I-SKILL National workshop for Flanders
November 7 All day
I-SKILL National workshop for Flanders (Belgium): “How to promote lifelong learning in Belgium in a context of the green and digital transition?” – 7th November 2023, Leuven, Belgium (In Dutch).
Although lifelong learning is becoming increasingly important in the context of the green and digital transition, participation in lifelong learning in Flanders appears to be too low and there is not yet a strong learning culture. The I-SKILL project studies how lifelong learning can be stimulated in the EU, both among employers and employees, and what policymakers and the social partners (can) do in this area. The project addresses the barriers perceived by employers and employees, including accessibility and quality of training provision, funding and motivation.
To conclude the part of the research that focused on Flanders, HIVA-KU Leuven is organising a workshop on 7 November 2023, with a keynote speech by Vickie Dekocker (Agoria, KU Leuven), presentations of own research on skills and lifelong learning, and a panel discussion with experts and stakeholders on the road to a workforce ready for the future.
