WORKSHOP: Employee Participation in Irish Workplaces
March 7, 2025 @ 10:00 – 16:00
Why does it matter? What does good look like? And how can we make a difference?
More than 70 years’ worth of evidence shows that workers with greater control over their own jobs are more productive and less likely to be sick than those in traditional hierarchical organisations.
They bring ideas to work, contribute to improving the business, and help to build agile and resilient organisations. They also learn and develop on the job, and experience significantly greater wellbeing and satisfaction.
Yet too many Irish companies have yet to realise the full potential of employee participation. Drawing evidence from Ireland and elsewhere in Europe, this interactive workshop is your opportunity to learn from leading practice and identify practical steps to achieving win-win outcomes for organisations and their employees alike.
Invited Speakers include:
The Workshop is a joint initiative by SIPTU’s Ideas Institute and Workplace Innovation Europe as part of the BroadVoice project, funded by the European Commission to explore the role of trade unions and worker representatives in supporting more productive, healthier ways of working in European enterprises.
The Institute for the Development of Employees Advancement Services (IDEAS) promotes the introduction of new thinking and new services into the workplace for the benefit of employees and the enterprise through workplace innovation, education and research.
Workplace Innovation Europe CLG is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to stimulating and resourcing workplace innovation through research, professional development and consultancy.
